SIC Maui Darkhorse Vortex Softboard
The Darkhorse is the perfect developing learner’s surfboard that will have your turning on the wave face in no time. They’re almost a hardboard but with soft rails. The stiff centre makes the board ride like a standard fibreglass surfboard. The board also features FCS style fins that are hard plastic and upgradable as your skills develop. The darkhorse is one of our best sellers and represents excellent value for money. We highly recommend it.
The board comes in four sizes:
5’8 Long by 20.0 Wide and is 40 Litres
6’8 Long by 22.0 Wide and is 60 Liters
7’4 Long by 22.5Wide and is 70 Litres
8’4 Long by 23.0Wide and is 85 Litres
The Darkhorse features a glass wrapped EVA core and wooden I-Beam stringer making it unlike other soft board on the market today. This creates a fun, lively, high-performance feel. Its FCS Fusion compatible finboxes are glassed in and PVC reinforced to give you maximum lateral stability and drive through the turns. The foam backed HDPE skin makes the Darkhorse durable and offers more protection for when you get tossed in the shore break.
